WVLGA Match v Leicestershire & Rutland 2^nd  team

Despite the forecast Warwickshire Vets 2^nd team played the Leicestershire 2^nd team in relative dry conditions on a very well prepared Nuneaton course. Unfortunately, many of the Leicestershire team knew the course too well, with some of them having travelled less far than some of the local team. Whilst it appeared that the result would be close after the first few players were in the clubhouse with good wins for Deb Pearman and Barbara Jones (7/5), Sue Hart and Chris Copper (2/1) and Trisha Weller in her first match with Heather Bissenden finishing all square the tail end were not so fortunate.

The match was played in a very good spirit followed by an excellent buffet enjoyed by all the ladies.

 Result: Leics ll won by 5 ½ matches to 2 ½

 Colours were awarded to Penny Dawson and Jane Brennan
