1st team match v Derbyshire
Sunday May 13th at Kedleston Park GC
The weather was absolutely perfect for this match against Derbyshire and the course at Kedleston Park GC was in first class condition. In the morning we played 6 singles with Charlotte Priddle and Emma Griffin having fine wins whilst the others were very tight with 3 of them going to the 18th before unfortunately ending in defeat. So 4-2 down at lunchtime and all to play for.
In the afternoon the Foursomes got off to a fabulous start with Emma Griffin and Julia Burton winning on 17 and the same excellent result for Annabel Edmund and Kelly Tomlinson. So as the score stood at 4-4 it was all down to the final match which sadly was lost on the 18th by the new pairing of Lisa Barton and Charlotte Priddle who had a very tight tussle against experienced opposition.
So a final result of 5-4 to Derbyshire but a fantastic match played in the best spirit and with an impressive show of determination and commitment by the Warwickshire team.
