Warwickshire 2nd Team v Warwickshire Vets
Our first match of the year was held on April 23rd at The Warwickshire G C. It was a beautiful spring day with the course looking at its best. The hollow tined greens might not have been perfect – but we all recognized the importance and need for course maintenance.
All 4 matches were very closely contested and enjoyed by all players. Although the County 2nd Team were victorious – all matches were won or lost over the last few holes.
A special thanks to Rachel Rusted, who at short notice helped to organize this match for the county.
Following the match Judith Pegler was awarded her Vets Colours.
