LADIES' LEAGUE SUPPER
The bi-annual supper for the Warwickshire Inter Club League took place on Thursday 10 October with the venue for 2019 being Stonebridge Golf Club. Great turnout for this event with some 142 ladies from 22 Warwickshire Clubs being present to enjoy a leisurely meal with friends and then learn who each Club will have to play in the League for the following two years.
Before the meal was served, County President Anne Parry gave a few words of welcome and then invited those ladies from Nuneaton Golf Club present to come forward where they were presented with the League Trophy, as winners of the League for 2019 - pictured above.
The meal as it was delicious and with the wine flowing, the noise level rose as the evening wore on!! Then came the moment of truth when Jane Murphy, League Organiser, ably assisted by Lesley Duff, Hon Secretary commenced the draw of Teams for the 4 Divisions for the 2020 and 2021 Seasons - listed below. Screems of delight or slight groans came from the floor when Teams were pulled out of the drum, and then the race began for League Captains to make their dates with the others in their division. Great fun.
