Warwickshire Golf

Cool and breezy conditions greeted both teams at Nuneaton Golf Club on Monday 27th July and the forecast even included some rain; not quite the summer conditions expected at the end of July. Undeterred the pairings set out onto the course, which, despite the 22mm rain the previous day, played exceedingly well. Liz Moverley & Jane Betts, Pat Hale & Karen McKenna and Carol Bancroft & Stevie Parker recorded excellent wins, which gave Warwickshire an optimistic feeling. Other matches were much tighter, more in tune with our annual tussle against Northamptonshire. Three further wins, one halved match and one loss saw an overall result of quite epic proportions.

The after match food was stunning and Nuneaton GC hosted admirably.
