WVLGA v WORCES/HEREFORDSHIRE on THURSDAY 21st JULY 2022 at MAXASTROKE PARK G.C.
TRI COUNTY MATCH WITH SHOTS
A much cooler daywas to be had at Maxstoke, even a sprinkling of rain to slightly green up the course.
We had three new ladies playoing for Warwickshire Vets - Peta Poynton, Mary Childs and Carol Coxon - welcome ladies!
We also had three ladies receiving colours for their 4th match for the County Vets - Carol Horne, Jane Hoskin and Ruth Hall - congratulations.
The staff at Maxstoke were very helpful and the food was fabulous - Roast Beef and Yorkie Puds with a Chocolate Brownie for dessert. The Vegetarian option of Vegetable Wellington was good too.
Everyone enjoyed the challenge of Maxstoke POark, Sue the Worcs Captain and I walked the course and met players on 13th and 17th.
Unfortunately we had a mix up with handicaps from the opposition and a game we had lost turned into a win with agreement from all parties.
Therefore we halved the match, which gives us 1 point towards the Morgan Trophy
