WARWICKSHIRE VETS v DERBYSHIRE SENIORS at BREADSALL PRIORY - MOORLAND COURSE
Thursday 18th July 2019
This match was played on the Moorlands Course at Marriott Breadsall Priory, Derbyshire on a mostly sunny but sometime cloudy day as the rain had finished by the time we teed off at 11 am., in fact fine golfing weather. The format was 4BBB off scratch and with 8 games to complete, we were in for a good day, especially as many of the Warwickshire team had not played this course previously. AS expected on a moorand course the rough, bei g long whoispy grass and clover was punishing and the beautiful dry stone walls were best avoided, however everyone enjoyed the challenge of this course.
There were some close matches but a resounding 7-1 win for Warwickshire Vets.
