Warwickshire Golf

 

How lucky we were to have bright sunshine for the first Winter Alliance of the 2014/2015 Season,which was played on Wednesday 5th November.  Stoneleigh Deer Park were excellent hosts, and provided a lot of help in the running of the day - much at very short notice - it was greatly appreciated.

 

Although the course was playing very long, after some heavy rain yesterday, some respectable scores were posted, the winners being from Edgbaston (Sue TIMBERLAKE and Janet VAKIL), scoring 30 points.  Ladies from Coventry Golf Club (June HABBERJAM and Judith MITCHELL) came a close second with 29 points, narrowly beating the ladies from The Warwickshire (Gillian CURE and Marion WOOD) on the back 9.

 

There was a very good atmosphere in the Club House, with ladies enjoying their well earned lunch.
