Monday 13th August saw the two semi finals played for the 2012 Warwickshire League. At Maxstoke Park, Stoneleigh Deer Park was drawn against Harborne and at The Warwickshire, Maxstoke Park (winners in 2011) played Walmley. The sun shone, despite the weather forecasts and the Final beckoned.
Both Maxstoke Park and The Warwickshire were in excellent condition and each Team of seven contesting in Matchplay format, commenced at 10 a.m.
Most games did not reach the 18th on either course with the eventual winners being Stoneleigh Deer Park GC who beat Harborne GC by 4 games to 3 and then Maxstoke Park GC who also won their match against Walmley by 4 games to 3.
At each venue a member from the County thanked the clubs for hosting the competition and also the Lady Captain of The Warwickshire and Lady Vice Captain of Maxstoke for their welcome and help on the day.
The Final will take place on MONDAY 10th September at The Welcome Golf & Country Club at 10.00 a.m. Good luck to both Teams.
