The Warwickshire League Final
Congratulations to The Warwickshire who beat Moor Hall in the final of this year’s Warwickshire League at Handsworth Golf Club on 17 September.
The Warwickshire team comprising of Jane Martin, Julia Newman, Pat Hawthorn (Captain), Nicky Woodhouse & Elaine West all played exceptionally well in less than ideal rainy conditions to overcome the challenge of Moor Hall’s team of Nicky McNab, Annette Cole, Sandra Hadley Smith, Liz Betts & Kirstie Phillips.
This is the first time The Warwickshire has won the League and only the second time they have reached the final! Commiserations to Moor Hall who for the second year running have been beaten in the final.
Thanks to Mark Reynolds for refereeing on the day, to Sue Timberlake for presenting the prizes and of course to Handsworth Golf Club for producing such a great course to play the final on.
