The 2025 Inter Club Team Championship was played at Coventry Hearsall on 1 September. 100 ladies representing 20 clubs took part. The weather was better than forecast with just a few short showers and the course was in excellent condition given the summer heatwaves. Referees Alastair Scott and Dan Hunter were not too troubled, and our thanks to them.
The winner of the Chipman Cup for best gross was Ladbrook Park with a score of 347, the team from Stratford-on-Avon being runners up. The Daisy Harthill trophy for best nett was won by Harborne on 299, with runner up Rugby one point behind.
The individual gross winner was Mary Fraise from Harborne on 79. The winner of the Veronica Ansty trophy for individual nett was Gillian Curley from Stratford-on-Avon with 67, after countback from Deborah Allen of Atherstone and Mary Fraise.

Hearsall provided a fourball voucher for nearest the pin on the 17th, the pin it must be said being in an extremely difficult position, and Sarah Bush from Leamington & County was closest.
President Sue Timberlake presented the prizes, supported by the WLCGA team of Lesley Kiener, Elizabeth Earnshaw, Deb Reynolds, Jane Frith, Maggie Taylor, Lesley Duff and Joan Tildesley.
Our thanks to everyone at Hearsall who made it a special day. Ian McCairns (General Manager who was raking bunkers at 6.30am), the greenstaff led by Chris Low, Monica Skitt (Clubhouse Manager), Lew Whitely as starter, Shirley White on the desk (who collected an astounding £306 in the raffle for the junior girls) and finally the Hearsall bakers for the cakes…recipes on request!
