WLCGA Seniors 9 Hole Alliance at North Warwickshire on 1st August 2025

North Warwickshire again offered ladies a great venue for the seniors 9 hole 3 Ball Alliance Competition. Unfortunately the weather was not so kind. After a pleasant warm start, the heavens opened about half way through the competition which meant nearly all of the ladies got very wet. However this did not deter the enthusiasm and fun of the afternoon.
A huge thanks to everyone at North Warwickshire who made the afternoon so successful and also the the ladies from WLCGA who manned the desk and to Sue Timberlake who braved the rain as starter.
The winning scores were all very close, with countback applied for second place ( though not shown on the results on Intellient Golf) , but the home team were just the winners by 1 point.
Sue Timberlake , WLCGA President, thanked everyone for a lovely afternoon and presented the prizes as follows:
1st Place with 42 points: Barbara Marsons, Amanda Brookes, Beryl Brookes from North Warwickshire
2nd Place with 41 points: Angie Barnett, Alicia Isles, Andrea Mace from Oakridge
3rd Place with 41 points: Sue Butler, Peta Poynton, Jennifer Kentish from Robin Hood and Copt Heath
Nearest the Pin on the 5th: Gill Somerfield from Ladbrook
Nearest the Pin on the 9th: Barbara Marsons from North Warwickshire.
Please Note that this competition in 2026 will again be at North Warwickshire GC, but will be earlier in the year on Friday June 12th.
