The Mary Turner Bowl 1st October 2023
The Mary Turner bowl was hosted by Staffordshire County on 1st October at South Staffordshire Golf Club. The course was in great shape but played very long. At first it looked like the weather was going to be kind to us, but not a chance, the heavens opened up and it was like someone had turned on a tap. Some groups managed to play a few holes in the dry but not many. The rain was not going to stop, with greens starting to flood it was decided between the County Captains to finish on the 12th hole. Such a shame as so much work goes into organising this event.
