Arianna amazing at Scottish under 14 Open Championship! 13 -14 August 2023
Scottish Under-14 Champion
Arianna Virik followed her success at the Warwickshire Girls Championship with an amazing victory at the Scottish under 14 Championship! The day after playing at Nuneaton, she, Maisie Halstead and Arisha Virik travelled north and all played in this 36 hole event with Maisie playing in the under 16 Championship and Arianna and Arisha in the under 14s.
All 3 girls were in good positions after Round 1 with Arianna 2 off the lead, Maisie only 4 shots behind the leader and Arisha having played 3 under her handicap. Both Maisie and Arisha fell away a little in Round 2 but Arianna was 1 under par gross having eagled the final hole! This led to a play-off with Celeste Darloy of France which Arianna won on the 2nd play-off hole!
This was Arianna’s first national title and without doubt the whole of Warwickshire Golf is immensely proud of her!
