The under 14’s 4 counties was held at Alfreton Golf, the 4 counties competing in this were Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire where each team would play each other in a league format, there would be 6 singles matchplay matches held over 10 holes with 2 points for an individual within a match so a total of 12 points per team match was up for grabs
Staffordshire (last years winners of this competition) were the first match up for Warwickshire, with this being a 6 man team, Leeroy sat out this match so he could practice and get to know this quirky course, the top order of the team got the young bears off to a flying start, with Kamraan, Ollie and Byron winning there matches putting us 3 games up, Jake then unfortunately lost his match on the last hole as did Sam, this putting the score in the balance at 3-2 to Warwickshire, the last match out on the course was Charlie who battled to a convincing 4&2 victory
Meaning the final score in this match was Warwickshire 4 – Staffordshire 2
Next up were Derbyshire
This turned out to be a very close match Kamraan out first, unfortunately losing his match, second out was Ollie who was playing very well came out on top with a 2 up victory, this putting the score at 1-1 with four matches left on the course, Byron had a great match and it was nip and tuck all the way round with his match eventually ending up in a half. Jake at number 4 was up all the way round in this match but eventually winning to put the score at 2.5-1.5 in Warwickshire’s favour. Derbyshire took the 5th match to draw the scores level with Sam left out on the course, news then came in that he had won the 9th hole to be A/S coming up the last, but unfortunately lost the last hole
Meaning the final score was Warwickshire 2.5 – Derbyshire 3.5
After the first two rubbers the league table was very close with all to play for in the final rubber

Last up was a very strong Nottinghamshire side, unfortunately for them they came up against an in form Ollie who won his third match of the day putting the first point on the board for the Bears, Byron came out the blocks fast and was 3 up thru 4 holes and soon closed the match out, the 4 lads left out on the course battled hard but were unable to add anymore points for the team
The final score of the match was Warwickshire 2 – Nottinghamshire 4
