The sun shone brightly at Sutton Coldfield GC for the Rene Greey Trophy Competition on Monday 3rd October 2022. There was a field of 44 past Lady Captains from Warwickshire clubs, playing the foursomes stableford.  Lady Vice Captain, Ruth Watson, was on hand to act as Starter for the ladies and Lady Captain, Jean Williamson, organised the ball sweep which raised over £57 for the Warwickshire Junior Girls. Many thanks to them and the other volunteers from Sutton Coldfield GC who helped the event to run smoothly.  The ladies traditionally stay for a meal together after the golf and thanks go to the catering staff for a delicious meal.

Congratulations to the winners who were:

Jenny Kentish and Susan Pearse from Copt Heath GC with 38 points,

The runners up were Sharon Ellis and Sandra Melling, from Nuneaton, with 34 points on countback,

Third were Lorraine Baldwin and Lesley James from Robin Hood, also with 34 points,

Fourth were Sarah Grindal and Nicola Woodhouse from the Warwickshire with 32 points on countback.

The longest drive was won by Jean Badman of Ladbrook Park.

The nearest the pin was won by Helen Palmer of Harborne GC
