Seniors Matchplay Final at Stratford on Avon GC on the 5th August 2022
Congratulations to Warren Bladon who beat Tim Cooley 4&3 to win the Seniors Matchplay Final, that following recent success for Warren winning the Seniors Strokeplay Championship and the Men's Strokeplay Championship.
The Seniors Matchplay Final was played in sunny conditions at the excellent Stratford on Avon GC. Played over 18 holes and in the presence of WUGC President Mark Reynolds, Warren took an early lead, he continued to play great golf and was soon five up, however, a couple of wobbles on the back nine gave Tim some hope. Warren was not to be denied and when won the 15th hole he clinched the match by 4&3.
A big thank you to Stratford on Avon GC for providing the course, which was in magnificent condition.
