Ladies Foursomes Knockout Final
21 clubs entered teams into the Inter Club Foursomes Knockout competition with teams playing at home or away in accordance with the draws. Matches were played from April to October over 18 holes.
The semi-finals were played at Coventry Hearsall Golf Club, a neutral course. The Warwickshire and Edgbaston qualified for the final, which took place at Copt Heath on Thursday, 7th October. The weather and the course were perfect for a final.
In the first match Edgbaston took an early lead and held a 2 hole advantage at the turn. Fortunes switched on the back 9, the match was decided on the 18th - 1 hole up to The Warwickshire.
In the second match The Warwickshire held the lead throughout finishing 2 up.
Result - 3 up to The Warwickshire.
