OAKRIDGE TRIO WIN FINAL VET’S COMPETITION OF 2021
Stonebridge Golf Club was the venue, playing on the Somers and Hampton courses for this the final Vet’s competition of 2021. With a fine Autumnal day and a full field going out from 8.30 a.m. to 13.30 p.m. we were blessed to complete the year in fine style. Coffee and Tea were flowing before play and with many participants taking advantage of breakfast butties pre play or meals afterwards, we were well catered for by Stonebridge. A starter was provided by the host club and we thank him for welcoming us all to the 1st tee.
As usual there was a good range of scores submitted, interspersed with some excellent ones - obviously some players negotiated the greens better than others. The full list of winners is below:
1st. Andrea MACE, Angie BARNETT & Alicia KEMP from Oakridge GC with 83 points
2nd. Di WOOD, Carol BLACKBURN & Sharon CLUTTERBUCK from Shirley GC with 80 points
3rd. Hazel OAG, Marie WARD & Julie GARRETT from Rugby GC with 77 points
Best Front 9. Judith PEGLER, Susan JONES & Caroline RHODES from Rugby GC with 40 points
Best Back 9. Angela ASHLEY, Mary MARTIN & Caroline RHODES from The Warwickshire GC with 38 points on countback.
Prior to the AGM, Stonebridge Lady Captain Eda DUNCANSON welcomes the assemble company and gave a very belated welcome to her Club. She said she was delighted that Stonebridge was able to host this event and hoped that everyone had enjoyed playing there.
