WLCGA Inter Club Pairs competition won by Whitefields Golf Club
There was an exciting end to the day at the Warwickshire ladies Inter Club Stableford pairs competition in glorious weather at Coventry Golf Club with four teams posting a final score of 37 points. Winning on count back on the final six holes were Elizabeth Nangle and Julie Ritchie from Whitefields with runners-up Di Wood and Vicki Pinnick from Shirley. Just pipped at the post were Irene Allan and Janet Atherton from Stratford Oaks and Lindsey McDonagh and Lesley Pettigrew from The Warwickshire.
We had a lovely welcome from Lady Captain, Maggie Bourton who was also our starter for the day. Our thanks go to head green keeper Kevin Brown and his staff for setting up the course for us and Tim Wyles and the bar staff for keeping us refreshed. Thank you to Jean Gallagher for the magnificent flower arrangements in our county colours and our final thanks to the members for giving up their tee times.
