Tuesday started off relatively bright but with the threat of a storm later in the day and unfortunately the weather forecast was extremely accurate. Fortunately, although it rained heavily and we experienced thunder no lightning was spotted. The ladies at Maxstoke Park led by Lady Captain Elaine Partridge were extremely helpful and braved the rain to accompany the girls round the course and also ball spotted (a very cold and wet experience). Our sincere thanks go to them for being so helpful and friendly.
Erin Thompson (Copt Heath) won the Futures competition (for girls without an official handicap) and Elsie Glover (Kenilworth) was runner up.
Nancy Reeves (Kenilworth) won the 9 hole competition with Arisha Virik (Kenilworth) runner up. Unfortunately this could not be declared a qualifying competition as a tree had fallen at Maxstoke and consequently Holes 4 and 5 were out of play.
In the 18 hole competition the winner was Arianna Virik (Kenilworth) who won on countback from Aoife Cannon both with 32 points
