NEWS regarding The Warwickshire Cup
The 2019-2020 Warwickshire Cup has been cancelled. This event was taking place between October 2019 and March 2020.
This is consistent with the Warwickshire Union of Golf Clubs Board's decision to cancel all of its Season's Programme for the year and roll over the timetable to 2021.
The Warwickshire Cup is slightly different in its playing arrangements and hence we had 3 Clubs still active within the Event at the start of the Covid19 pandemic and at the time of the Board's earlier decision to cancel the 2020 playing season. Nevertheless, whilst it is unfortunate, but in line with the consistency of the County's stance, the 2019-2020 Event has to be cancelled.
2020-2021 Warwickshire Cup:
This is to proceed as normal and will open for entries as per normal deadlines. The prize fund will be enhanced by rolling over the unused 2019-2020 prize fund.
