Adam is looking forward to Perks of Boys Captaincy

New County Boys Captain Adam Perks will lead out the Under-18’s team for the first time on Sunday when Warwickshire face Nottinghamshire in a friendly match on his home course at Sutton Coldfield GC.

Although the wet and windy weather conditions over the winter have made preparations for the new campaign more challenging than normal, the boys are itching to build some momentum ahead of a busy season.

Last year’s County Boys champion Seb Cave is part of a strong 12-player line-up that includes players representing eight different Golf Clubs.

Warwickshire Boys Under-18’s Team Manager Bob Wallace said: “I would like to welcome our new Captain Adam Perks - he will be a great captain and I know the rest of the boys will all give him their full support. I know he's ready to go.

“Spectators are really welcome. It’s great to have extra support on the golf course - as well as keeping us up-to-date with the scores in the matches. The boys appreciate it, and so do the management team.

“With foursomes matches in the morning and singles in the afternoon at Sutton Coldfield, we’re playing on one of the County's best courses. So let’s get the season off to a great start.”
