Ladbrook Park Golf Club was the venue for the first Vet's Competition of the year, with a format of Better Ball Pairs Stableford. 62 Pairs from many clubs within Warwickshire were competing for the Ellie Scott Salvers and many other prizes. After storm Hannah had been around all weekend, it was a pleasure to play golf in relative calm and even sunshine throughout the day. Ladbrook greens were very fast for this time of year and proved tricky, with the rest of the course in excellent condition and all of the competitors welcomed the start of the season having golf on a very well prepared course - well done to the Green's staff.
At the Prize Presentation, Ladbrook Park Vice Captain Jean BADMAN welcomed everyone, belatedly to the club and hoped that all had enjoyed their day. She then handed over to WVLGA President, Liz WOOLF who thanked her Committee for all their hard work both prior to and during the day but in particular Competition Organiser, Rosemary COLE and Treasurer Hillary BRAMLEY. Liz then thanked Ladbrook Park for hosting this event and the Bar Staff and Caterers for looking after the players during the day. The prizes were then presented by Liz WOOLF to the players who were present, including herself!!
