Sunday evening's rattling windows and the sound of dustbins being blown down the street, courtesy of Freya, did nothing for the confidence for the following morning's Winter Alliance - the final one of the season. However blue skies were there when the curtains were drawn and despite somewhat breezy conditions, the sun shone and only a shortish shower blighted the day.
First Pair in had an excellent score which remained at the top as others came home - and the Atherstone ladies had been hanging on to second place .... but would either of them stay there as the final pairings came in?
True to form, things changed!
Olton brought up the rear of the field with a great score of 35 points but not quite enough to topple Walmley from the top spot with 36 points.

County Captain Julia BURTON gave thanks go to Moor Hall for hosting us on the day; to Ann BELL the Lady Captain for her welcome and support; also Jenny TOMLINSON who, at the last minute, was called in to mark a card (following an injury sustained by one participant before she left home!)
The Ball Sweep raised £60 for the County Girls fund.
