Warwickshire Golf

The morning foursomes proved to be a tough test. Both Alex and Seb and Joe and Liam were involved in difficult matches which they lost. In match 5 Charlie and Tom Poole also were defeated and at this point it looked like Warwickshire might lose all 5 matches. However there were great performances from Luke and Charlie who played some great golf and Sam and George to both win on the 18th. Sam and George scoring their first points for the team. A great result. Foursomes finished 3-2 to Worcestershire.

The singles started well with Alex recording a good win in the first match. Luke and Seb both lost to tough opponents but Charlie Lamb came through on the last to win match 4. Joe McInnes played well to win and Liam fought hard to take his match to the 18th but lost 2 down. Charlie Seddon was 5 down but fought back and only narrowly lost 2&1, while George lost 4&2. Both Sam Easterbrook and Tom Poole were playing for the first time but Sam won 4&2 and Tom played some great golf to win the last match 3&2. Two fantastic performances from both boys.

Overall the boys lost 8-7 but the team had four boys making their debut. This is another encouraging result for the team and the boys continue to make good progress.
