Boys versus Nottinghamshire
First match for the Boys team of 2018 at Stratford Park Golf Club against a very strong Nottinghamshire team.
Stratford Park Golf Club worked extremely hard to get the course open to allow the game to be played. Thanks to this hard work the greens were good however the course was understandably wet making play difficult for both teams.
The foursomes were very close after 9 holes, but Notts ran away with the matches on the back nine with only Ethan Trouth (Moor Hall) and Theo Barnes (Stratford on Avon) getting a half in the 2nd match.
The singles matches went the same way with most of them close at the turn, however Notts kicked on and took control of the back nine for a convincing win.
Ethan Trouth (Moor Hall) was our star player winning 1.5 points on the day who was closely followed by Lewis Watson (Handsworth) and Arnie James (Leamington & County) both winning their afternoon singles matches and then Josh Kearns (Copt Heath) & Adam Perks (The Belfry) both winning half points.
Thank you to everyone at Stratford Park Golf Club for looking after us throughout the day and I'm sure we all wish Nottinghamshire a very successful season.
