Alex Ford plays in European Open
Alex Ford from Robin Hood recently played in the 25th European Junior OpenThe par for both heathland & links course was 74 for the week. The age category was born after 01/01/2000 (basically under 18) so he was giving most of the field of approx 88 juniors a couple of years. Round 1 he shot + 7 (81) Round 2 he shot -2 !! (72) 5th best score of the day Round 3 he shot + 1 (75) This left him comfortably making the cut in 10th position way beyond our expectations On the final day he struggled a bit shooting +5 (79) leaving him tied 18th for the tournament.
Alex hopes that this experience will help him start the 2018 season with bang and keen to play in many bigger events next year.
