Getting a 2nd team together for this match was a bit of a mission, however we turned up on the day with a full team, but a thankyou to Bev BELCHER, the Vets Captain who allowed myself to play. (she may have regretted the decision afterwards!!)
It was a cold start at Edgbaston but the sun eventually came out and warmed the players up. The course was presented beautifully but the greens proved tricky for some, being a little slicker than expected so early in the season.
A big thank you to the players who jumped in at the last minute, those being Kate GILLAM, Margaret SHEEPY, Sheila CALDWELL and Angela ALLEN.
Fairly evenly matched handicap wise, there were some good battles between the pairings. With 2 matches Won, 2 Halved and 1 Lost, the 2nd Team came out the victors 4 games to 2.
A great start for the 2nd team to the season.
