Warwickshire win Mary Turner Bowl
The Mary Turner Bowl was hosted by Warwickshire at Stratford-on-Avon Golf Club this year on Monday 3rd October and was played between Warwickshire and Worcestershire & Herefordshire. The format was a better ball competition for teams of 12 players with all scores to count.
Thankfully the weather was dry and warm for this time of year. I would like to thank my team who played some fabulous golf. The Course was in fantastic condition with the greens being very tricky and slick.
A keenly contested competition resulted in a win for Warwickshire by 431 strokes to 441.
The competition was followed by a superb meal and formal thanks were made by WLCGA Captain, Skye Furnace, the Ladies Captain of Stratford-on-Avon Golf Club and Lesley Fox, Worcestershire & Herefordshire Captain.

Individual prize winners were as follows:
1st place with net 68, Arianna Virik and Hilary Dixon (Warwickshire)
2nd place with net 70, Rachel Rusted and Charlotte Atkinson (Warwickshire)
3rd place also with net 70, Karen Greenfield and Louise Wilding (Worcestershire & Herefordshire).
Nearest the pin and longest drive were won by Arianna Virik (Warwickshire).
