Ladies League Supper 5th October 2022
The Warwickshire Inter Club League biennial supper was held at Maxstoke Park Golf Club on Wednesday 5th October.
There was a great turn out with 113 ladies from 24 Warwickshire Clubs. Lynne Pearson welcomed everyone and invited us all to enjoy a delicious meal and one or two drinks with friends and opponents!! Maxstoke Park provided a great venue and the staff could not have been more helpful.
After the meal, County President Bobbi Waugh welcomed everyone and presented the Silver Jubilee Salver to the League winners - Kenilworth Golf Club. Atherstone Golf Club were presented with the Runners Up Trophy.
Bobbi then introduced our Speaker for the evening, Hannah Crump, PGA Professional at Stonebridge Golf Club.
Hannah is the 1st woman to win Midland Coach of the Year and has won three other golfing awards this year.
Hannah gave us an excellent picture of her role as a Teaching Professional and really showcased her mission to grow Women's Golf.
She discussed key barriers that prevent growing the women's game and then gave us key solutions that have really worked such as making everyone feel really welcome from the start and getting players on the golf course as early as possible.
At the end of the evening Lynne Pearson, League Organiser, announced that it was time for the draw of teams for the league seasons of 2023 - 2024.
