VETS 9 hole ALLIANCE A SUCCESS
The 9 Hole Competition was completed just before rain arrived at North Warwickshire Golf Course on Friday 22nd July.
A warm day and with very fast running fairways and lovely greens, the stage was set for a very enjoyable afternoon's golf at Nth Warwks where the Vets had arranged their annual 9 hole 3 ball Alliance competition. We weren't disappointed either with some excellent scores recorded by many of the players, even having countback on the top two scores of 43 points! Everyone enjoyed the afternoon with some comments that more 9 hole competitions should be available to play. 20 Teams of 3 played in the competition.
The Catering staff looked after the ladies really well from arrival to the end of play, with some fantastic cakes being served with tea and the Lady Captain Sue Williams was there making sure everything ran smoothly and she came in the the prizes!

President of the Vets Val Barker presented the prizes to all and thanked the Management at the Club for allowing us to play their course. Also thanked were Hilary Bramley and Sue Williams for their help pre event and during the afternoon. Val also thanked Rosemary Cole, Vet's Competition Secretary for the hard work she puts in, in organising the event and also Deb Reynolds for helping her all afternoon.
