Ladies 1st team Pre-Season Match vs Staffordshire
The 1st team welcomed two new players to the team. Arianna Virik plays at Coventry Hearsall and Kenilworth GC and Maisie Halstead who also plays at Kenilworth GC. The team consisted of Lisa Barton Coventry GC, Hannah Coles Maxstoke GC, Lauren Beaman Moor Hall GC, Skye Furnace Stratford-upon-Avon GC, Maisie Halstead Kenilworth GC and Arianna Virik Kenilworth GC.
The match was played at South Staffs GC. The course was in excellent condition although the greens proved to be rather tricky for all players. No rain hindered us although it was rather chilly throughout the day.
Warwickshire led in the morning 3 games to 2. This was a great start and going into the afternoon spirits were high. Warwickshire fought hard until the end but sadly we lost 4 1/2 - 5 1/2. This is such a promising start to the season as Staffordshire have always been a very strong County to beat.
Terrific golf was played by all my team. I want to thank everyone especially our Lady President Bobbi for her enthusiasm and support throughout the day.
