Warwickshire Girls v Worcester & Herefordshire Girls
On an extremely humid day at Wharton Park Worcestershire, the Warwickshire Girls played a League Match against Worcestershire/Herefordshire on Sunday 20th July. Our girls were really up against it as 6 of the matches were off scratch and as the Worcestershire Girls' handicaps were far lower than our girls, it was going to be an uphill battle. However the girls gave everything they had with many of the matches going to the last hole. It was a wonderful thing to see the girls interacting and enjoying the day.
Many thanks go to Biddy Denton Worcestershire County President, acting starter Chris Povey and Yvonne Folley for all their help.
The result was a win for Worcestershire:
Scratch Match 5 to 1
Friendly and Experience Matches were Halved, which was an excellent results as their handicaps also were much higher than the oppositions
