WLCGA Seniors v Hereford and Worcestershire 4th June 2025 at the Vale Golf Club
Due to two players withdrawing on the morning of the match and with no time to contact any reserves, one of the games was played as a singles match. This match between Captain Lesley James and Maggie Thomson was a closely fought contest resulting in an honourable halve.
A further half point was achieved by Debbie Naylor and Ann Sheldon.
Teresa Wright and her partner Sally Garston and the pairing of Sam Cattaneo and Bev Coleman along with newbie Ann Bache and Lynda Blundell went one step further winning their matches.
So with 3 wins and 2 halves under our belt the final score ended up as 4-4.
We are definitely moving in the right direction with the Morgan Trophy still in our sights if we could just beat Staffs at Sutton Coldfield on Monday 7thJuly .
Lesley thanked acting H & W Captain Jenny Hartley for her organisation and awarded colours to Diana Wood from Edgbaston.
