Warwickshire Girls v Oxfordshire Girls match was held at Flackwell Heath Golf Club where they contested for the Midlands South Handicap Cup. We were grateful to Buckinghamshire County for arranging the match at Flackwell Heath Golf Club.
The course was in great condition and physically challenged due to the hilly terrain. Warwickshire Girls fought hard on a breezy but sunny day. The matches were very close and the two matches that went up the last hole could have gone either way. The Oxfordshire Girls pipped us by the post to take the Midlands South Handicap Trophy but what a great experience and achievement it was for the Warwickshire Girls to be playing in the finals for the first time inover 10 years. This year we together have enjoyed wonderful team spirit, great camaraderie and determination and we look forward to competing for all the Midlands South Trophies again next year.
