Pauline Dignau, Leicestershire Captain was very well organised and had all the cards written out with only a few handicap changes required.
Unfortunately Janet McGuff from Edgbaston broke down on the way to the match and was unable to get there to play, but an amazing stroke of luck Angela Danby from Whitefields had arrived at Birstall Golf Club expecting to play. So she became the Super Sub! (Fickle finger of fate.)
The course was quite tight with treelined fairways and tricky bunkers.
All the matches were well contested with 4 reaching the 18th hole. Despite this we lost the match by 6 games to 2.
