WVLGA match v Oxfordshire on May 12th 2017 @ Stratford Oaks G C
The forecast for the day was one of potential thunderstorms. All ladies were given advice as to what action should be taken in case of thunder and off to the first tee we headed. One heavy downpour, but otherwise we were extremely lucky with warm dry conditions prevailing. The course was in good condition with the home team and our Oxfordshire visitors all enjoying its scenery and views.
We were extremely well looked after at Stratford Oaks, by the office and the catering staff. Although the result may not have been in Warwickshire’s favour, a good day was had by all who played.
Jill Butler played her first match for the Vets and Sue Rattenbury was awarded her colours.
