VETS' 9 HOLE ALLIANCE
The Hampton Course at Stonebriudge Golf Course was the venue for the annual Vets' 9 Hole 3 Ball Stableford Alliance Competition with the date being Wednesday 24th July. The course was in excellent shape and the weather good and there were 17 teams of three players competing for the prizes. A wide range of scores were recorded in this Stableford format where the best two scores out of the three counted and at the top of the leader board there was little between the first three winners.
1st Andrea MACE - Sue WILKINS - Linda DAY (Oakridge GC) - 43 points
2nd Mary HENSON - Christine JAMIESON - Anne EDWARDS (Robin Hood GC) - 42 points on countback from:
3rd Angela ASHLEY - Lindsey McDONAGH - Gill WINSTANLEY (The Warwickshire GC) - 42 points
Presenting the prizes was Vets' President Liz WOOLF who, after thanking Stonebridge for their hospitality, noted that everyone seemed to have enjoyed this informal but still competitive afternoon's golf.
