MIDLANDS SOUTH AUSTRALIAN SPOONS REGIONAL FINAL

Midlands South Australian Spoons regional final held on the 16th July at Leamington and County Golf Club. The Australian Spoons is an England Golf Foursome competition for ladies with handicaps between 15 and 40. Clubs are encouraged to run a competition with the winning pair going forward to a Regional final and the winners of that going forward to Golf Week at England Golf with overnight accommodation, a courtesy round the day before, dinner and the final the next day.
This year 33 pairs from across the six counties attended the regional final on what was a lovely day in mid July, at an excellent course with superb hospitality offered by the ladies of Leamington & County GC. Although many found the course quite challenging they all came in after play in good humour and there was a great atmosphere in the Club House. At the end of play, Helen CALLOW, Lady Captain of Leamington welcomed everyone from their different Clubs and Counties and our County President Anne PARRY thanked everyone from the Club for their help and support. Anne then awarded the prizes.
Winners - Tracey MANN and Carol KANE with 37 points from Whittelbury GC (Northants)
Runners Up - Ann BIGLIN and Marie MOORE with 33 points from Moor Hall GC
3rd Place - Kerry PARDOE and Pat TENNANT with 33 points from Reading GC { Berkshire)
