OLTON FINISH 3rd IN NATIONAL CLUB EVENT
After qualifying at this years Warwickshire Amateur Championship Olton Golf Club headed up to Huddersfield Golf Club to compete in the English Champion Club event.
With blustery conditions on a tough course the team of Nick Brooker, Joe Macilwraith and Liam Phipps returned some impressive scores to finish 3rd team on +18.
Liam Phipps also finished top individual out of the whole field with a first round of 67 (4 under par) followed by a second round of level par leaving him 3 shots clear of his nearest rival.
