KATIE DREW WINS MIDLANDS JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
The 2018 Midland Junior Champion of Champions competitions for boys and girls were played at Newark Golf Club on Sunday, 9th September.
Katie DREW (Ladbrook Park GC) emerged as the overall winner of the Girls Championship with scores of 79 + 76 = 155 to win by one stroke and also win the Under 14 Trophy. Katie produced a storming finish to her second round with birdies at the last three holes. Zara HOUGHTON (Copt Heath) was 8th overall and 3rd in the Under 16 category with scores of 81 + 87 = 167.
In the Boys Championship, Jamie JOHNSON (Coventry), the Warwickshire Boys Champion, was 4th in the Under 18 category with scores of 82 + 87 = 169 and Chanon JAMES (Kenilworth), the Warwickshire Boys Under 14 Champion, was 5th in the Under 14 category with scores of 79 + 81 = 160.
