Held at The Warwickshire G & CC on the King's Course, The Vets 3 Ball Alliance was played in wonderful autumn weather. Lots of sunshine and a morning of quite strong winds let the competitors have wonderful views over the extensive two courses at The Warwickshire and the King's Course was in excellent condition. Very difficult to imagine that this was mid October and not mid summer!!
25 Teams of three played in this event on Tuesday 17th October, a Stableford Alliance with 2 scores to count and as the scores were recorded, it became evident that everyone had found scoring quite difficult. Indeed as teams came in with their completed cards, it soon became clear that the winning scores were quite a shock to the winning teams! Although the course looked magnificent, it was playing long and with the wind somehow seeming to be in our faces for most of the holes, it was taking all one's concentration to try to score well.
Nevertheless, winners were found and they were delighted to receive their prizes, with the winners taking the Salvers in addition.
