WARWICKSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT 2016

A re-vamp of the Warwickshire Junior Order of Merit means that 2016 will be the first year where Gross and Nett prizes will be awarded for both boys and girls. The boys JOOM final will be played on Saturday October 22nd at West Midlands GC.  Good luck to all competitors.

Sixteen girls from affiliated Junior Order of Merit (JOOM) clubs participated in the revised competition.  An additional ten girls gained points in the overall table but are not eligible to receive prize money from the JOOM fund for 2016 as their clubs had not entered them into the scheme for this year.  Hopefully more clubs will register for the Warwickshire Junior Order of Merit in 2017 providing an opportunity for additional boys and girls to compete for the prizes.  Full details can be found on this website under Teams and Results.

The winner of the Gross prize for the girls is Maria TOLEDO BAILEY from Walmley GC.  Maria will also win the Warwickshire Girls Order of Merit Trophy which will be presented at the Warwickshire Girls Early Season Get-Together, to be held at Robin Hood GC in March next year.  Runner up in the Gross competition was Amelia MACHIN from Kenilworth GC.  Ellie LEECH, Robin Hood GC took third place in the Gross competition.

The competitor who scored the most points in the Nett competition was Megan GEE from Maxstoke GC. The second placed Nett competitor was Lauren BEAMAN , Moor Hall GC, with Jessica McGHEE from Rugby GC in third place.

Prizes will be awarded to those players who represent participating clubs.  A full list of participating clubs for 2016 is included in the details of both the boys and girls sections of the JOOM as is a full breakdown of how the points are allocated.
