NEW 9 HOLE COMPETITION FOR VETS

The inaugural Lady Vets 9 Hole Competition was a 3 Ball Alliance and was held on Wednesday 27 July at North Warwickshire Golf Club. 33 ladies took part and enjoyed playing in pleasant summer weather. Although the field was small for this event it was felt that it has good potential and will be included as a part of the program for next year. Hopefully this will encourage more of the ladies who do not feel able to take part in the longer competitions but enjoy being part of the Lady Vets.
The winners on the day on countback were Alana Parsons (Robin Hood), Jane Doble (Leamington and County)and Hilary Bramley (North Warwickshire) with 37 points. In second place were Linda Pillage, Claire Beardmore and Annette Bucknall all from Olton also with 37 points.
Our thanks got to North Warwickshire Golf Club for welcoming the Lady Vets to their course for this event and for all their help during the planning and on the day, especially for the tea and cakes after our game.
