NEW CAPTAIN FOR JUNIOR GIRLS

Warwickshire County Ladies are delighted to announce that Ellie Leech will be the Junior Girls County Captain for 2016.  Ellie Leech who is a member of Robin Hood Golf Club will receive her badge of office on Sunday March 20th from outgoing captain Ellie Berwick from Shirley.

Ellie began playing golf as a 10 year old with her twin sister Kate at the golf academy at her home club Robin Hood and having progressed through the ranks Ellie became the first female junior captain of her club in 2015.

She was selected for County Junior Captain because of her boundless enthusiasm for the game and her willingness to encourage those around her to perform to the best of their ability.  Ellie’s current handicap is 16 with her ambition to reach single figures as soon as possible.  A hard task when at the same time as playing golf Ellie is studying for ‘A’ levels, holding down a part time job at American Golf and playing in a band.

All girls and their families involved in golf in Warwickshire are invited to attend the Early Season get-together on Sunday 20th March at 4.00pm at Robin Hood where there will be an opportunity to hear about all the events planned for our girls’ golf in 2016.

In addition, Trophies will be presented for the Girls Order of Merit for 2015 and the Most Improved and Most Worthy 2015.

Victoria Brewer, Ladbrook Park, will be presented with the Trophy for winning the Warwickshire Girls Stableford Series in 2015 whilst Jodie Wood (Shirley) and Lauren Beaman (Moor Hall) will receive Warwickshire Junior Team Colours.

If you wish to attend this event please let your County Junior Organiser, Jane Brennan, know so that she can book you a place.  Cup cakes and hot drinks will be on offer.  Free of charge for Warwickshire girls - nominal fee of £1 for other family members.
