WVLGA Match v Derbyshire
Coventry Finham GC on Wednesday 20 July 2016
On a very hot day Coventry Finham, at its best, was the host club for this match, the course was in wonderful condition including a display of wild meadow flowers being an absolute delight.
After five years without a win this was a match to win! And, indeed, the final result mirrored the weather and turned out to be an emphatic win. Derbyshire Senior Ladies are strong competition, all the matches which the Warwickshire team won were by healthy margins. Notably our President, Jane Betts, playing with Jane Jones, Sue Shortt and Pat Hawthorn and Carol O’hare with Karen McKenna.
Result: Warwickshire won by 5 ½ matches to 2 ½
