On a bright and sunny May day with the rhodendrons in full bloom Warwickshire Ladies played golf to match by winning 7 out of the fourball games. The top pairing started with a birdie and continued in that vein to record a 6/5 win and the rest of the team followed on apart from the game where a Leicestershire player had not read the script as she only dropped one shot in 12 holes to record an excellent win for their team.
The Edgbaston course played long after the recent heavy rains but was thoroughly enjoyed by both Home players and the Visitors.
