Chesterfield GC was a new experience for all of the Warwickshire team, possibly because of its location some 75 miles away! The match was played on Thursday 24th July in wonderful summer weather.
It was a hidden gem of a course with tricky and challenging greens and where some course knowledge was a definite advantage. Conditions were perfect and the pairings reasonably well matched. 4 of the 6 matches went to the 17th hole indicating the closeness of the match. Ultimately we achieved a very creditable draw against the Derbyshire Senior Ladies, having won the first 3 games and losing the last 3!!
Chesterfield GC looked after us very well and their service was excellent.
