The second match of the season for the Warwickshire Vets was played against the Warwickshire County Girls Team on April 27that The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club. The match was played in rather blustery conditions with frequent heavy showers, but nothing seemed to dampen the enthusiasm and competitive spirit displayed by the relatively inexperienced but extremely committed Girls team.
The Vets team had to work hard to keep up with, or just ahead of the, the girls; with the final scores reflecting some very close matches. Ultimately the Vets won through, winning 3 matches and halving 2, however the ability and potential demonstrated by this young team was very heartening in relation to the future of golf in the Warwickshire County.
The final result was a 4 games to 1 win for the Warwickshire Vets team. Many thanks to the players of both teams and to the parents for their support.
